Kelvindale Road Safety Week
Walk to School Challenge
17th – 21st November 2014

An Eco School Active Challenge

For the above week, each class had the challenge of trying to walk to school as much as possible.  This helps keep the cost of petrol down, helps keep our environment cleaner and greener, is healthy for all involved and helps pupils put into practise Road Safety Skills.

Pupils and teacher record on the Walk to School Charts how children come to school every day for the week
Blue = Absent
Red = Car to school gates
Orange = Bus, Train or Park and Stride
Green = Walk, Scooter, Bike

The JRSO collated the findings to find the class with the highest percentage score.  An Eco Bot token with 10 points and 15 minutes of healthy extra play was awarded to the infant and an upper class with the highest score.

Thank you again, for all your super eco support.
Miss Morrison and The JRSO
