Glasgow City Council have agreed to adopt the change to the May public holiday in 2020 to coincide with the celebration of VE day. This means that the first Monday May holiday is changed from Monday May 4th  to Friday May 8th.

The In Service day originally planned for Tuesday May 5th will now move to Monday May 11th to make a long weekend for families.
