P3 Mum Cycling 81 Miles for Marie Curie Cancer Care

Dear Families & Friends of Kelvindale Primary,

I am a mother of a P3 child at Kelvindale Primary and I have the schools support in requesting sponsorship for a fundraiser in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Myself and a couple of other midwives at the Princess Royal Maternity Unit have decided to take part in this year’s Etape Caledonia Cycle Event.  It is an 81 mile (yes, you heard me right…81 miles!!) cycle starting and finishing at Pitlochry and all our sponsorship is going to this wonderful cause.  Google it and see the You Tube footage.

We are also organising a raffle and any donation of goods or services would be gratefully received.  Either contact me on 07766 003953, leave a message with the office or donate directly via http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/lastlegs.  That is the name of our team because we will be on our last legs by the end of it!!  The beauty of online donation is it can be gift aided and the charity gets a further 25% without it costing you an extra penny.  Every penny counts and it all adds up.

Sadly, cancer has probably directly or indirectly affected all of us at some point and why would we not want to help those affected, end their days with the comfort and dignity they deserve.  Marie Curie Cancer Care has hospice facilities and also cares for people in their own homes.  Your donation pays for those nurses.

I look forward to your support and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Regards,

Aileen Dunlop (Patrick’s mum - he even gave me his pocket money last week!)
