ASL Parent Forum
The ASL Parent Forum, which meets on a regular basis with senior officers of the Council is seeking to recruit some new members.

The focus of the group has been debated at recent meetings, and, moving forward, the group will have a focus on communication and how this is best achieved in relation to ASL matters, and inclusion in general, to ensure parents feel informed and supported.

The group will potentially also act as a sounding board for inclusion related policy and support documents as appropriate.

It is hoped that by re-launching the group we will further extend and enhance our partnership working with parents at school level.

I would ask that you share this with your parent council and, if any parent of a young person with additional support needs would wish to have their name put forward, they pass their contact details to Sandra McCormack (Sandra.mccormack@education.glasgow.gov.uk)

As we have 4 of the existing ASL Parent Forum remaining as members of the group, we would be limited to welcoming a maximum of 6 new members to the group.

The next planned meeting of the ASL Parent Forum will be on Tuesday 29th March at 10.00 in the City Chambers and, if possible, it would be helpful to have nominations in advance of this date.

Kind Regards
