The Curriculum for Excellence aims to develop pupils who are confident individuals, effective contributors, successful learners and responsible citizens.

Learning in each curricular area emphasises the contributions it can make to support the development of the four capacities.

Staff continuously evaluate the curriculum we offer to ensure balance, breadth and challenge to provide an education for all pupils which is appropriate to age, aptitude and ability. In all subjects, we aim to offer a range of activities suited to the child's interests and needs. We offer all our pupils equal opportunities.

Pupils are encouraged to appreciate how learning in school links to real life and to their future as active citizens. Our aim is to assist and encourage our pupils to become lifelong learners.

Our curriculum includes the study of Language (including English and Modern Languages), Mathematics, Health & Wellbeing, Expressive Arts, Religious & Moral Education, Science, Social Studies and Technologies.

We will be looking at each of these curricular areas of study organising our learning so that we maximise connections between subjects in order to make learning more meaningful for our pupils.
