The responsible citizens in P7b took part in a Mock Court Case. The case centred on a dispute over a mobile phone contract. The pursuers for Talk & Text were to prove that the contract was lawfully taken out. The defenders were representing Mrs Telfer and argued that the contract was not legally binding as it was signed by Mrs Telfer’s 15 year old grandson.
Everyone in the class had a role to play including lawyers, witnesses, gown makers and court artists. After a lot of hard work our day in court finally arrived! We went to The High Court in Glasgow. The defenders were up against Hutchesons’ Grammar and the pursuers were against Dalmellington Primary.
Both teams performed exceptionally well with the pursuers winning their case on the day.
